Holly Johnson has been a veterinarian since 1992 and is licensed to practice in New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, Minnesota and New York. She earned her veterinary degree in 1992 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University and her bachelor of science in animal science from North Dakota State University in 1986.
Holly was first exposed to, and required to use, acupuncture in 1993 during her internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She began studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1997. Since 2004, she has engaged in regular TCVM studies in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and food therapy at the Chi Institute, and in 2009 earned a Certificate in Equine Osteopathy through the Vluggen Institute.
Holly Johnson represents the finest amalgam of integrative care for our animals. Whether an allopathic diagnostic visit, an acupuncture treatment, or all the many complementary modalities available through her practice, my dogs have received expert care, advice and love from Dr. Holly.

Holly Johnson brings an integrative sensibility to her treatment of dogs and cats. She has been a veterinarian since 1992 and began practicing Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Today she blends her 17 years of Western medicine experience, with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, food therapy and osteopathy to address underlying reasons for illness and chart a course for the most vibrant health.
As a licensed veterinarian and within the scope of her TCVM practice, Holly has the ability to order lab tests, (including bloodwork, urinalysis, titers for parvo/distemper and rabies), or can refer a client back to their primary veterinarian for additional diagnostics. Central to her approach, Holly educates pet owners about the range of available modalities and treatment approaches for their animals care. In Santa Fe, Holly sees clients at Santa Fe Animal Hospital on Wednesdays, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
In Eldorado, Dr. Johnson sees clients at Cameron Veterinary Clinic on Thursdays, from noon to 5:00pm.
